Yes. When you enable web access in the Parent Portal, the Troomi Smart Browser automatically takes over—all web access goes through the Safe Browser so age filtering and protections are always on. Traditional browsers like Chrome remain blocked unless you decide otherwise.

YouTube works differently inside the Troomi Safe Browser—designed to reduce risk without cutting kids off from helpful, age-appropriate content.

Parents can turn on YouTube Safe Mode in the Parent Portal to limit how videos are surfaced and recommended. With Safe Mode enabled, YouTube no longer pushes algorithm-driven suggested videos that can lead to endless scrolling or inappropriate content.
