Is the Troomi App Store available on all service plans?
No. The Troomi App Store is a feature of the Discover plan only. The Do and Dream plans offer essential apps only (calculator, camera, etc.) for families wanting an app-store-free phone experience for their child.
Can I control my child's access to downloaded apps?
Yes. Apps downloaded to your child’s phone can be managed in the Troomi Parent Portal, giving you the ability to set app-specific time limits and schedules, and to remove approval if necessary.
What type of apps are available in the Troomi App Store?
The Troomi App Store offers over 1,000 pre-selected apps for parents to approve for their child to download. They include popular games as well as creativity, productivity and educational apps, and parents have the option to add additional apps from the Google Play Store as needed, which requires a Google account on the child’s phone.
Can my child download apps without my approval?
No. Your child can only keep and use apps you’ve approved in the Troomi Parent Portal. Apps Troomi has blocked, including social media apps, cannot be approved.
How does the Troomi Parent Portal work?
The Troomi Parent Portal is a control center you can access independently of your child’s Troomi phone. It allows you to set healthy usage limits and time windows, manage contacts, monitor calls and messages, and view the phone’s latest GPS location.
