Troomi Smart Browser: Parent-managed web browsing for kids

A smiling adult and child stand outdoors by a car, laughing together while looking at a bright orange smartphone. Sunlight filters through trees in the background.

The Troomi Smart Browser is a web experience built just for kids. With three browsing modes, customizable website categories, and an easy approval process for new sites and YouTube channels, kids are free to browse, learn, and discover new interests within boundaries that can expand as they grow.

How It Works

A folder named Space shows links to NASA, Voyager, Sun, and Actual Space. Options for adding content, deleting the folder, saving, and user permissions for Monica, Joey, Ross, and Phoebe are visible.
A website approval screen shows Chase and Facebook sites needing parent approval, with Approve and Deny buttons, and ESPN and Disney listed as approved sites.

Parent-controlled web access

Parents choose how much of the internet their child can access, with three browsing modes and tools for managing content categories. Websites can be pre-approved or blocked, and kids are able to request new web content from parents, who approve or deny requests right in the Troomi Parent Portal.

Web protection and Safe Search

Category-based content filtering and Safe Search, which is always on, help limit exposure to inappropriate websites and search results. Parents can also use Safelist Mode to give their kids access to approved websites only.

YouTube made safer

YouTube access can be switched on or off at any time, and parents have the ability to approve specific channels or videos, and to view their child's YouTube activity through the Parent Portal. This gives kids a way to enjoy video content through a focused, ad-free player free from comments, recommendations, and autoplay.

Part of Troomi's safe phone experience

The Troomi Smart Browser works alongside the Troomi App Store to create an online environment where kids are free to explore the web and discover new interests safely.

What Parents Are Saying

Two black smartphones, one showing a home screen with the orange Troomi Protect Childhood background and app icons, are displayed on a light peach gradient background.

“Recently purchased the Troomi phone for my 13yo daughter. We wanted the ability to limit access to apps and web browsing. We did a lot of research and comparing and after having Troomi for just a few days, know it was the right decision. I love that we can sit down together and discuss websites she can have access to and that I can set time limits to everything.

Buying this phone was one of the best decisions we’ve made. It is both parent and kid approved!”
