The Troomi Smart Browser is a web experience built just for kids. With three browsing modes, customizable website categories, and an easy approval process for new sites and YouTube channels, kids are free to browse, learn, and discover new interests within boundaries that can expand as they grow.
How It Works
Parent-controlled web access
Parents choose how much of the internet their child can access, with tools for managing content categories and age-appropriateness. Websites can be pre-approved or blocked, and kids are able to request new web content from parents, who approve or deny requests right in the Troomi Parent Portal.
Web protection and Safe Search
Category-based content filtering and Safe Search help limit exposure to inappropriate websites and search results. Parents also have the option to create custom allow lists, giving their kids access to selected websites only.
YouTube made safer
YouTube access can be switched on or off at any time, and parents have the ability to approve specific channels or videos, and to view their child's YouTube activity through the Parent Portal. This gives kids a way to enjoy video content through a focused, ad-free player free from comments, recommendations, and addictive algorithms.

How does the Troomi Smart Browser work?
Troomi Smart Browser allows you to specify approved website domains, blocking others. Age-level and content category settings work together with Safe Search to tailor your child’s web experience to their interests and level of maturity. Troomi Smart Browser is optional, for families that want their kids to have internet access, and is only available on the Discover service plan.
Does Troomi Smart Browser replace regular browsers?
Yes. The Troomi Smart Browser is the default browser on the Discover service plan, giving your child a safer way to explore the internet. However, if you choose to allow other browsers, like Chrome, they can still be managed like any other app through the Troomi Parent Portal.
Can I control YouTube with Troomi Smart Browser?
Yes. The Troomi Smart Browser lets you decide exactly what your child can watch. You approve the videos and channels you feel are appropriate, and the browser removes ads, comments and recommendations so kids don’t get pulled into unwanted content or addictive rabbit holes.
Can I choose which sites or channels are allowed?
Yes. Troomi Smart Browser lets you block specific websites as well as YouTube channels and videos at any time using the Troomi Parent Portal. You can also turn on SafeList Mode to allow only the content you’ve approved.
Can Troomi Smart Browser settings change as my child grows?
Yes. Troomi Smart Browser is designed to grow with your child. Settings can be changed at any time in the Troomi Parent Portal, allowing you to adjust age-based settings and access to content to suit their current level of maturity.
How does the Troomi Parent Portal work?
The Troomi Parent Portal is a control center you can access independently of your child’s Troomi phone. It allows you to set healthy usage limits, schedule downtime, manage contacts, monitor calls and messages, and view the phone’s location at any time with a real-time GPS location tracker.
