Troomi Smart Browser Terms and Consent

TROOMI SMART BROWSER DISCLAIMER

Troomi gives parents meaningful control over how their children access the internet. The Troomi Smart Browser is designed specifically for kids and teens and works alongside your existing Troomi controls, including scheduling, app access, and contact management. With the Smart Browser, you decide what your child can and cannot access online—based on age, maturity, and your family’s values.

Smart Browser Controls

The Troomi Smart Browser allows parents to customize their child’s browsing experience, including:
  • Age-based browsing rules that adjust as your child grows
  • Safe-listed mode, where only parent-approved websites are accessible
  • The ability to block or approve individual websites at any time
  • Optional access to YouTube via Troomi’s Smart YouTube experience, which removes ads, comments, autoplay, and suggested follow-on videos
  • The ability to enable or disable AI-powered features, including content analysis and guardrails
All Smart Browser settings are controlled by the parent and can be changed at any time through your Troomi account.

How the Smart Browser Works

When enabled, the Troomi Smart Browser evaluates websites and online content against the settings you choose for your child. Depending on your configuration, content may be:
  • Allowed
  • Blocked
  • Restricted until approved by a parent
If AI-powered features are enabled, Troomi may use automated systems to assess web content for age-appropriateness and safety based on your child’s settings. These systems follow defined guardrails aligned with the selected age level.

Privacy and Data Handling

When you and your child use the Troomi Smart Browser, you trust us with your information—and we take that seriously. Troomi processes only what is necessary to provide the Smart Browser experience. We do not sell or share your child’s personal information with third parties for advertising, spamming, or profiling purposes. Additional details about how we protect and handle data can be found in the Troomi Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, available via the footer of our website.

Smart Browser Has Limitations

The Troomi Smart Browser is designed to improve safety and visibility, not to be perfect. Web content changes constantly, and no filtering or AI-based system can guarantee that all inappropriate content will be blocked or that all appropriate content will be allowed. From time to time, the Smart Browser may:
  • Block content you feel should be allowed (false positives)
  • Allow content you feel should be blocked (false negatives)
Parents remain responsible for reviewing activity, adjusting settings, and guiding their child’s online behavior. The Smart Browser is a tool—not a substitute for parental involvement.

For Legal Reasons...

Troomi provides the Smart Browser on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties or guarantees of any kind. By using the Smart Browser, you acknowledge that:
  • Filtering and AI features are not one hundred percent accurate
  • The Smart Browser may not work in all environments or with all content
  • Internet access, third-party websites, and services are outside of Troomi’s control
Troomi does not guarantee uninterrupted access, complete accuracy, or suitability for every situation.

Consent

By enabling and using the Troomi Smart Browser, I agree to the terms described in this document and consent to Troomi monitoring, evaluating, and processing my child’s web activity as necessary to provide Smart Browser features, in accordance with my selected settings, the Troomi Privacy Policy, and the Troomi Terms of Service.

I declare that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child associated with this account and that I am authorized to provide this consent on my child’s behalf.
