Your Guide to the Best Tech Gifts This Christmas

Paige Geis Bradshaw

Even though we often advocate for a low-tech lifestyle around here at Troomi, that doesn’t mean we think technology is an inherently bad thing. In fact, we believe quite the opposite! We know technology has value; without it, we’d be missing out on a lot of the luxuries—both time-saving and life-saving—we enjoy today.

The trick to using technology is allowing it to be the tool it is without succumbing to the trap it can be. We want children to develop a healthy relationship with technology, finding the balance between online engagement and real-life interaction along the way. Our goal is to empower children to learn, do and become anything by minimizing their exposure to danger and maximizing their access to education, creativity and fun!

An essential part of that empowerment comes through play. Playtime is a fundamental piece in a child’s development, offering a little bit of everything from the building of social skills to the reduction of stress. Tracking down the toys that’ll help most effectively can be tough, but we’ve made the load a little lighter with this list of top tech toys for kids!

These tech toys are the perfect intersection of technology and play. With Christmas right around the corner, you’ll want to keep them in mind when coming up with Christmas gift ideas for the kids in your crew!
